Herron, Ronald (Ron) James
Herron, Ronald (Ron) James (1930–94). London-born architect, associated with Archigram in the 1960s. He was partly responsible, when working for the Greater London Council, for the conception of the South Bank Arts Complex, London (early 1960s). His best-known work is probably the refurbishment of an existing office-building in Store Street, Bloomsbury, London (1989), for Imagination Ltd., a design involving covering a courtyard with a stretched-fabric roof. He has also designed buildings for the Toyama Prefecture, Japan (1992–3).
