English royal by marriage. Born on April 20, 1919, in Hanwell, England; daughter of Charles Stanley Dowding and Lilian Lawlor ; became first wife of Gerald Lascelles (b. 1924, grandson of King George V and Mary of Teck ), on July 15, 1952 (divorced 1978); children: Henry Lascelles (b. 1953). Gerald Lascelles' second wife is Elizabeth Collingwood .
