Being at Home with Claude ★★ 1992

Yves (Dupuis) is a 22yearold Montreal hustler being interrogated by a nameless inspector (Godin) for the murder of his lover, Claude (Pichette). Yves has admitted his guilt but the inspector wants to reconstruct the event and determine a motive. Lots of blackandwhite flashbacks as Yves dwells on his work and his psychologically lovedeath relationship with Claude. Rather pretentious and longwinded. Based on the play by ReneDaniel DuBois. In French with English subtitles. 86m/C VHS . CA Roy Dupuis, Jacques Godin, JeanFrancois Pichette, Gaston Lepage; D: Johanne Boisvert; W: Jean Boudin. Genie '92: Score.
