Fischer, Caroline Auguste (1764–1834)

German poet and novelist. Born 1764 in Germany; died 1834; m. Danish court preacher (div.); m. Christian August Fischer (writer), 1808 (sep. soon after); children: (2nd m.) 1 son.

Ran school in Heidelberg and library in Würzburg; writings, which serve as a link between pre-modern and modern German women's literature, include Honigmonathe (1802–04).
