American soldier. Born Lynndie Rana England, Nov 8, 1982, in Ashland, Kentucky; grew up in West Virginia; dau. of Terrie and Kenneth England (rail worker); m. James L. Fike, 2002 (div. 2003); children: Carter Allan England (b. 2004).
Served in US Army reserve; after being photographed smiling, pointing and giving a thumbs-up, became the face of the tortures at Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad, Iraq (2004); faced a general court martial.
