Gymnostomatida
Gymnostomatida (class Ciliatea, subclass Holotrichia) An order of ciliate protozoa in which the body cilia are uniformly arranged. The oral region lacks cilia, and the cytostome opens directly to the exterior. There are two suborders. They are found in marine and freshwater aquatic environments.
