Bhavānī
Bhavānī. A name of the Hindu Goddess. Theoretically it can be derived from Bhava, a synonym of Śiva. This would then denote the goddess as Śiva's consort, similar to Pārvatī, Durgā, or Gaurī. However, in the context of regional cults connected with temples, Bhavānī may figure independently from Śiva.
