ASNT Fellow Awards (Postdoctorate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To honor outstanding and significant contributions of an individual in the advancement of NDT Focus: Engineering. Qualif.: Nominees must have 15 years of NDT professional experience and 10 years ASNT membership. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the Selection Committee's review of the application materials.

15. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application and nomination forms to ASNT headquarter. Deadline: February 1.

Remarks: Nominations shall be made by the candidate's local section chairman, members of the ASNT Board of Directors, or by ASNT Fellow. Contact: Carole Chesla, ASNT Executive Assistant.

ASNT Fellowship Awards (Graduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To fund a specific research in nondestructive testing. Focus: Materials research/science; Testing, educational/psychological. Qualif.: Any institution with a graduate educational research program is eligible to submit a proposal. Criteria: Applicant who has the most outstanding proposal about NDT research, investigation or development will be given preference and will be judged based on creativity, content, format, and readability.

Funds Avail.: $15,000. Number Awarded: 3. To Apply:

Applicants must submit a research proposal (maximum of 21 pages) consist of a title page, table of contents, research proposal, program of study, research facilities, budget, research advisor, and background on potential graduate student. An original and eight (8) copies of the proposal shall be forwarded to ASNT. Deadline: November. Contact: Lynn Anderson, [email protected].

Robert B. Oliver ASNT Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To assist students who have chosen a career in NDT. Focus: Materials research/science; Testing, educational/psychological. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled in a course work related to nondestructive testing (NDT) leading to an undergraduate degree, an associate degree or a post-secondary certificate. Criteria: Applicant who has the most outstanding manuscript about NDT research, investigation or development will be given preference. The manuscript is judge based on creativity, content, format, and readability.

Funds Avail.: $2,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit one original and 4 copies of student manuscript with original illustrations and photos (maximum of ten). Manuscripts must contain the title, author, complete references and must be limited to 5,000 words. International System of Units or SI is preferred for all measurements. Applicants must also submit a completed application form; student's curriculum; transcript; verification of enrollment letter from an instructor. Deadline: February 15.
