A.R.F.O.R.A. Undergraduate Scholarships for Women (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support the continuing education of student members. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a female voting member of a parish of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America; a graduate of a duly accredited university/college; and accepted by a graduate school or a duly accredited university and specify her course of study. Criteria: Selection is based on the application materials.

Funds Avail.: $1000. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Applicants must send a request for application to ARFORA/Martha Gavrila Scholarship c/o 222 Orchard Park Dr New Castle, PA 16105. Three letters of recommendation must be mailed sealed, directly to the attention of the Scholarship Committee. A photo must be included and a formal letter projecting the plans of the applicant. Deadline: April 30.

A.R.O.Y. Stanitz Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support the continuing education of student members. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be an active AROY member; a high school graduate; and a college student or one who intends to enroll in a school or college of university level. Criteria: Selection is based on the application.

Funds Avail.: $1000. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Applicants must submit a biographical history including family; an educational background and grades; list of AROY and church activities; list of extra-curricular interests or achievements; reasons why applying for the scholarship; a photograph; and a letter of recommendation from parish priest or AROY advisors regarding parish and AROY activities. Bujea Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To support the education of students seeking ordination into priesthood or wish to serve the Church in a professional manner. Focus: Religion. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Canadian student; and a communicant voting member of The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America. Criteria: Award is limited to those who either seek ordination into the priesthood or who wish to serve the Church.

Qualif.: Applicant must be a female voting member of a parish of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America; a graduate of a duly accredited university/college; and accepted by a graduate school or a duly accredited university and specify her course of study. Criteria: Selection is based on the application materials.

Funds Avail.: $1500. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Applicants must submit a completed application form together with a high school administration form/transcript of grades/letter of acceptance; an essay; and a photograph.
