TAKE A CRACK AT IT
CRACK, a UNIX utility developed by Alec Muffett, efficiently compares a password file containing encrypted passwords with large dictionaries (encrypted lists of words that might be used as passwords). It is fairly easy to add new dictionaries, so choosing a password from, for example, the Klingon dictionary, does not provide security.
