Bach, Johann(es Hans)
Bach, Johann(es Hans), eldest son of Johann(es Hans)”der Spielmann “; b. Wechmar,” Nov. 26, 1604; d. Erfurt, May 13, 1673. He was apprenticed to Christoph Hoffmann, Stadtpfeifer in Suhl. He was a town musician in Erfurt, and, from 1636, organist at the Predi-gerkirche there. Several of his compositions are extant.
