The Last Letter
The Last Letter ★½ 2004 (R)
A twist ending somewhat redeems the slow pace of this courtroom thriller. Forceful jury foreman Griffith (Forsythe) leads the other jurors in deciding the verdict for a serial killer (writer/director Gannon) accused of 14 gory murders (shown in flashbacks). But their deliberations aren't as clear-cut as you might imagine since the foreman seems determined to raise more than a reasonable doubt that the right man is on trial. 80m/C DVD . William Forsythe, Yancy Butler, Grace Zabriskie, Leo Rossi, Russell Gannon; D: Russell Gannon; W: Russell Gannon; C: Sean Dinwoodie; M: Terry Plumeri. VIDEO
