Made NY stage debut in St. Joan (1951), followed by Jane, Dial M for Murder, The Way of the World, Cherry Orchard, Measure for Measure, Girl of the Golden West, As You Like It, Rosmersholm, and Here's Where I Belong, among others; appeared in the original US production of Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood; performed often at American Conservatory Theatre (ACT) in San Francisco; also appeared on tv.
