As a child, made stage debut in London in Bluebell in Fairyland (1901), followed by Miss Hook of Holland, The Merry Widow, Pinkie and the Fairies, Peter Pan, The Marionettes, The Sunshine Girl, A Pantomime Rehearsal, After the Girl, The Passing Show, Vanity Fair and Bubbly.
