Actogea A traditional zoogeographical region that comprises the northern continents, Africa, and Indo-China. It is usually subdivided into the Palaearctic and Nearctic (together Holarctica), Ethiopian, and Oriental regions. Compare NEOGEA; NOTOGEA. See FAUNAL REGION.
