VALERIUS MAXIMUS ° (first century c.e.), compiler of historical anecdotes in *Tiberius' reign. He mentions that Cornelius Hispalus expelled the Jews from Rome in 139 b.c.e. for corrupting Roman customs with their worship of Jupiter Sabazius (= Sabaoth?).
