HEILPERIN, MICHAEL ANGELO

HEILPERIN, MICHAEL ANGELO (1909– ), Swiss economist. Heilperin was born in Warsaw and educated in Geneva where he settled. He was appointed professor at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva. His main fields were money, banking, and international economics and he became prominent through his analysis of international monetary crises. His publications include Trade of Nations (1947, 19522); Studies in Economic Nationalism (1960); and Gold and Monetary Order (1962).
