SAJA Journalism Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide educational fund to students pursuing journalism as a career. Focus: Journalism. Qualif.: Applicants must be South Asian descents; a high school seniors; must be enrolled or current students in an accredited college or university (two-year or four year) in the United States or Canada and/or entering a graduate-level program in the United States or Canada. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on: applicant's interest in journalism; writing skills; reasons for entering journalism; and financial need.

Funds Avail.: $1000 for high school senior about to enter college; $1500 for undergraduate college student (four-year or community college); $2000 for graduate-level students; $2000 for undergraduate or graduate student in broadcast or journalism. Number Awarded: 5. To Apply: Applicants must fill out online application form available at the website. Deadline: February 15.
