Willmott, Ernest
Willmott, Ernest ( Ernest Willmott Sloper until 1907) (1871–1916). English architect. He worked with Herbert Baker in South Africa, notably on the Government Offices at Bloemfontein and Pretoria. He returned to England and established his own practice in 1907, much of his work at the time showing a pronounced Dutch Colonial influence. He published English Shopfronts Old and New (1907) and the useful English House Design (1911). His contributions to Hampstead Garden Suburb were exceptionally fine (79 and 81 Hampstead Way).
