Stigelli, Giorgio (real name, Georg Stiegele)
Stigelli, Giorgio (real name, Georg Stiegele), celebrated German tenor; b. 1815; d. Boschetti, near Monza, July 3, 1868. He made extensive concert tours in Europe, and appeared in America in 1864–65. He composed many songs, among them the popular Die schönsten Augen.
