Gnecco, Francesco
Gnecco, Francesco, Italian composer; b. Genoa, c. 1769; d. Milan, 1810 or 1811. He was maestro di cappella at Savona Cathedral. He composed some 25 operas, of which La prova d’un opera seria (Milan, 1805) was particularly successful. His other works included sacred music and chamber pieces.
