Bodinus, Sebastian
Bodinus, Sebastian, German violinist and composer; b. c. 1700; d. c. 1760. He was in the service of the Margrave Carl Wilhelm of Baden–Durlach before serving as first violinist at the Wurrtemberg court (1723–28). He then served intermittently as Konzertmeister in Karlsruhe (1728–33; 1736–38; 1747–52). Among his output were syms., concertos, and much chamber music of high quality, including quartets, trios, sonatas, and solo sonatas.
