Twilight of the Cockroaches
Twilight of the Cockroaches ★½ Gokiburi 1990
Mr. Saito is a slovenly bachelor who winds up leaving the remains of his meals for the anthropomorphic cockroaches that infest his apartment. The cockroaches have had it so good for so long that they don't know about insecticides and fearing humans. That is, until Mr. Saito's fastidious new girlfriend makes her appearance and declares war on the vermin. A lifelessly animated tale too dumb for both children and adults and with decidedly unpleasant subject matter, despite the singing, dancing insects. In Japanese with English subtitles. 105m/C VHS . JPD: Hiroaki Yoshida; V: Kaoru Kobayashi, Setsuko Karamsumarau.
