The Master of Ballantrae ★★1953

Flynn plays James Durrisdear, the heir to a Scottish title, who gets involved in a rebellion with Bonnie Prince Charlie against the English crown. When the rebellion fails, Flynn heads for the West Indies where he and his partner amass quite a fortune through piracy. Flynn's riotous life had put him long past his peak swashbuckling days, as this film unfortunately demonstrates. 89m/C VHS, DVD .
