The Matrix Revolutions ★★★ 2003 (R)

The battle for the last human stronghold continues, as Zion itself comes under attack. Meanwhile Neo continues his battle with Agent Smith and the machines in his own way, in and out of the Matrix. Better blending of action (there's plenty), philosophy, and narrative helps this one surpass the somewhat disappointing previous installment. It also helps that the effects are more smoothly integrated and less obvious. Add a half-bone if you think the Wachhowski boys can do no wrong, subtract one if you thought the whole thing was ridiculous to begin with. You must choose. 130m/C VHS, DVD .
