Gutsu, Tatyana (1976—)

Russian gymnast. Name variations: Tatiana. Born Tatiana Constantinovna Gutsu on September 5, 1976, in Odessa, Ukraine; coached by Victor Sergeevich Dikii.

Representing the Soviet Union, Tatyana Gutsu won two Olympic gold medals in the all-around individual and all-around team in Barcelona in 1992; she was also awarded a bronze in the floor exercises and a silver in the uneven parallel bars. One of four sisters, Gutsu began her career in 1982. In 1988, she participated in the USSR Jr. national championships. She was first all-around at the European championships (1990), the USSR national championships (1991), the Europa Cup (1991), the CIS cup (1992), and the European championships (1992). She was also first all-around at the Moscow Stars (1991 and 1992).
