Portuguese politician. Name variations: D. Helena Torres Marques. Born May 8, 1941, in Lisbon, Portugal.

Served as a member of the Assembly of the Republic (1983–94) and vice-chair of the parliamentary party of the PS (1991–94); as a European Socialist (PSE), elected to 4th and 5th European Parliament (1994–99, 1999–2004). Awarded Grand Cross of the Infante D. Henrique (1998).
