Australian field-hockey player. Name variations: May Campbell. Born 1915 in Moulyinning, Australia; died 1981; sister of Jean, Morna and Caroline Pearce (field-hockey players).
Oldest of the legendary Pearce sisters (no relation to the famous hockey-playing Pearce brothers) who dominated Australian women's field hockey (1936–56), played left-inner and captained for both state and national teams; was regarded as a scoring phenomenon, making 100 goals in 1936 alone; left the field of play to become a coach and administrator (1948).
