Ceraunian Mountains
Ceraunian Mountains (sĬrôn´ēən), Albanian Kanalit, coastal range, S Albania, extending northwest c.70 mi (110 km) from the Greek border to the Strait of Otranto; Mt. Çikës (6,726 ft/2,050 m) is the highest peak. At the northern end the rugged range forks around Vlorë Bay; the west fork ends in Cape Linguetta (Albanian Gjuhëzës). The range is sometimes called the Acroceraunian Mts.
