Ceramicus Sinus (sĕrəmī´kəs sī´nəs) or Ceramic Gulf (sərăm´Ĭk), ancient name of the Gulf of Kos, or of Kerme, SW Turkey, an inlet of the Aegean Sea. The celebrated city of Halicarnassus, capital of Cappadocia, was on the gulf.
