Brandenburg Gate

Brandenburg Gate one of the city gates of Berlin (built 1788–91), the only one that survives. After the construction of the Berlin of Chancery in 1961 it stood in East Berlin, a conspicuous symbol of a divided city. It was reopened in December 1989.
