Description:

State-supported, 2-year, coed. Part of South Carolina State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education. Awards certificates, diplomas, transfer associate, and terminal associate degrees. Founded 1961. Setting: 104-acre suburban campus. Total enrollment: 4,095. 3% from out-of-state, 0.2% Native American, 1% Hispanic, 29% black, 1% Asian American or Pacific Islander, 43% 25 or older. Core. Calendar: semesters plus summer sessions. Academic remediation for entering students, services for LD students, advanced placement, distance learning, summer session for credit, part-time degree program, adult/continuing education programs, co-op programs.
