Jorge Espejal Contreras Memorial Scholarships (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To strive for professionalism in the intelligence field by promoting career development and continued education. Focus: Intelligence Service; Statistics; Criminal Justice. Qualif.: Program is open to active IALEIA members or immediate family members enrolled in an intelligence, analysis, criminal justice, or other related undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited academic institution; must be based on full-time or part-time enrollment in an ac-

credited college/university and can be on campus or via distance-learning. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the eligibility status evaluated through the quality of the essay (minimum of 1,000 words), its originality and its complete response to addressing the required topic, complete check for grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Funds Avail.: $1,000. Number Awarded: 2. To Apply: Applicants should download application from the IALEIA website and submit to the IALEIA Training, Education, and Career Development Committee. Eligible submissions must be provided in English. Applicants must submit their work electronically to the attention of the TE&CD Director and a signed original copy to be mailed. Application must include a mandatory 1,000-1,500 word essay on: The Future of Law Enforcement Intelligence as a Profession. The Henley Putnam University Scholarships (Professional Development/Scholarship)
