Emler, Lawrence
Emler, Lawrence (fl. 1492–1506). German carver and designer. He made the exquisite head of the funerary effigy of Queen Elizabeth of York (1503) in Westminster Abbey, and may have designed the bronze screen around the tomb of King Henry VII (1485–1509) and his Queen in the Lady Chapel, one of the finest screens of its period.
