19 Fuel Tax
This tax is levied on liquefied gas, fuel used for motors, gasoline, and diesel oil.
In accordance with the objectives outlined by various bodies at various times, as discussed below, China will implement Fuel Tax at the appropriate time.
- The Resolution of Revising the Road Law of the People's Republic of China passed at the Twelfth Session of the Standing Committee of the 9th National People's Congress (NPC) on October 31, 1999.
- The Plan of Tax and Fee Reform on Traffic and Vehicles drafted by the Ministry of Finance and the State Planning and Development Commission, and approved by the State Council on October 22, 2000.
