Royal Hampshire Hospital, Hampshire, England, midwife, beginning 1936; worked as a tutor at Queen Charlotte's Hospital, London, England, and in Leeds, England; also worked abroad, including service as a hospital matron in Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates and as a trainer in Kuwait. Central Midwives Board, member, 1969-72, and examiner.


Royal College of Midwives (member of council, 1957-78; vice president, 1973).
