Paganelli, Giuseppe Antonio
Paganelli, Giuseppe Antonio, Italian composer; b. Padua, March 6, 1710; d. probably in Madrid, c. 1762. He was employed as a harpsichordist in an Italian opera company. He was in Venice (1732), then at Bayreuth (1737–38). In 1755 he went to Madrid. His Divertisement de le Beau Sexe (6 sonatas) was ed. by G. Tagliapietra (Milan, 1936). In addition to 11 operas, he composed a number of instrumental works which were popular in his day.
