Glasenapp, Carl (Friedrich) (b Riga, 1847; d Riga, 1915). Ger.-Russ. teacher and writer. Authority on Wagner. Wrote 2-vol. life and works of Wagner 1876–7, rewritten in 6 vols. (1894–1911, Eng. trans. by Ashton Ellis); also ed. Bayreuth letters and archives for publication.
