Bronsart (von Schellendorf), Ingeborg (née Starck), German pianist and composer; b. St. Petersburg (of Swedish parents), Aug. 24, 1840; d. Munich, June 17, 1913. She studied piano with Liszt at Weimar. In 1861 she married Hans Bronsart (von Schellendorf). She composed 4 operas: König Hjarne (Berlin, Feb. 14, 1891), Jery und Bätely (Weimar, April 26, 1873), Die Sühne (Dessau, April 11, 1909), and Die Göttin zu Sais; also piano concertos, piano sonatas, salon pieces, violin pieces, cello pieces, and songs.
