Tom and Jerry: The Movie
Tom and Jerry: The Movie ★★ 1993 (G)
Everybody's favorite animated cat/mouse duo (who began life in a 1940 MGM short “Puss Gets the Boot”) hit the big screen, this time talking (unlike their animated shorts). Rather than cartoon mayhem our two protagonists are goody-two-shoes (with songs yet!) but still retain their charm. Kids will like it, but true “Tom and Jerry” fans should probably stick to the original cartoons. 84m/C VHS, DVD. D: Phil Roman; W: Dennis Marks; M: Henry Mancini, Leslie Bricusse; V: Richard Kind, Dana Hill, Charlotte Rae, Henry Gibson, Rip Taylor, Howard Morris, Edmund Gilbert, David Lander.
