Born in Gmunden, Austria, on September 29, 1882; died inGlucksburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on August 30, 1963; daughter of Ernest Augustus, third duke of Cumberland and Teviotdale, and Thyra Oldenburg (sister of Alexandra of Denmark and Empress Marie Feodorovna of Russia); married Frederick Francis IV, grand duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, on June 7, 1904; children: four, including Christian Louis, duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.
