Alexandre, Charles-Guillaume
Alexandre, Charles-Guillaume, French violinist, teacher, and composer; b. c. 1735; d. Paris, c. 1787. He held posts as a violinist in Paris before devoting himself to teaching the violin and to composing. He wrote stage works, violin concertos, chamber music, and arrangements of popular opera arias.
