English politician and member of Parliament. Born Gisela Gschaider, Nov 26, 1955, in Velden/Vilsbiburg, Germany; attended Staat Realschule Vilsbiburg, Manchester Polytechnic and London University; m. Robert Scott Stuart, 1980 (div. 2000).
Lawyer, translator and lecturer; representing Labour, elected to House of Commons for Birmingham Edgbaston (1997, 2001, 2005); was parliamentary undersecretary of State in Department of Health (1999–2001).
