Made film debut in Gandharva (1992); made more than 90 movies in her 12-year career, acting in the south Indian languages of Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam (majority of her hits were in Telugu); produced the Kannada film Dweepa (2002), for which she won the national award for Best Actor.
