Greek historian. Born in Epidaurus, of Egyptian family; married Soteridas or Socratidas.
Historian of considerable reputation in her day, was a scholar in Rome during the reign of Nero (r. 54–68), but wrote in Greek; only a summary of her Miscellaneous History (33 books), which was provided by Byzantine writer Photius, survives; also wrote epitomes of historical works.
