American stage and screen actress. Born Dec 23, 1941, in Youngstown, Ohio; died June 10, 1987, by jumping out her 5th-floor apartment window in Pittsburgh, PA.
Made Broadway debut in Our Town (1969); films include The Group, You're a Big Boy Now, The Fixer, The Beguiled, Walking Tall and (voice only) The Secret of NIMH. Won L.A. Critics Award for performance in national company of Morning's at Seven; nominated for Oscar for Best Actress for A Patch of Blue (1965).
