Darvi, Bella (1927–1971)

Polish-French actress. Born Bayla Wegier, Oct 28 (also seen as 23), 1927, in Sosnowiec, Poland; died Sept 10, 1971, by turning on gas in stove, in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Grew up in Paris; spent time in a concentration camp during Nazi occupation; brought to Hollywood by Darryl and Virginia Zanuck; films include Hell and High Water, The Egyptian, The Racers and Les Petites Filles modèles.
