American actress and writer. Name variations: Margerie Bonner Lowry; Marjorie Bonner. Born Margerie Bonner, 1905, in Washington DC; died Sept 28, 1988, in Los Angeles, California; sister of Priscilla Bonner (actress); m. Jerome Chaffee Jr., 1924; m. Malcolm Lowry (novelist, died 1957).

Made film debut in Reno (1923); other films include Rapid Fire Romance, The Trail of Courage and Paying the Price (with sister Priscilla Bonner, 1927); wrote 2 novels, The Shapes that Creep and The Last Twist of the Night; with husband Malcolm Lowry, published their unfilmed screenplay of Tender is the Night.
