Curtis T. McMullen
1958-
American mathematician who received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1985. He has held teaching positions at various universities, including the University of California at Berkeley and Harvard University. He was awarded the Fields Medal in 1998 for his work in the fields of geometry and complex dynamics, a branch of the theory of dynamic systems, also known as chaos theory. In 1998 he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
