Organization devoted to the teachings of occult mystic Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) whose system of Anthroposophy is concerned with a "wisdom relating to man." The London headquarters presents study groups, classes in artistic activities (painting, speech, drama), and performances of eurythmy. The Anthroposophical Society's publications include a newsletter for members, a quarterly journal, New View, and a catalog of works by Steiner and other writers. Steiner's work ranges across many fields, including education, art therapy, special care and training of children with mental retardation, and agricultural techniques.
